Community Partnership in Action

Chief Kevin Reading, Community Policing Officer Na’Air Campbell and Mental Health Coordinator Elwood Dasher met with members of the Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP), the Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, and the Lawrence Township Health Department to discuss opioid overdoses and addressing the cycle of opioid use and misuse. The OORP provides clinical recovery support, case management, and referrals to appropriate services based on each individual’s needs. Discussions like this are important to strengthen partnerships and continue supporting the health and well-being of those in our community. Together, we can make a difference.

During Read Across America Week, students at Eldridge Park Elementary School enjoyed a visit from Sheriff’s Officer Amiet, who stopped by to read and share the joy of books with the young learners.
