Strengthening CIT Skills

The Lawrence Township Police Department played an active role in Mercer County’s Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training by helping coordinate the program alongside other agencies and serving as instructors during the week. Their officers contributed to training sessions focused on mental health awareness, communication, and crisis response, while also collaborating with regional partners to strengthen how law enforcement handles mental health-related calls.
