Officer Spotlight

Chief Kevin Reading would like to introduce Officer Kyeon Taylor badge #279. Kyeon recently graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy on January 9, 2026. Kyeon is a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Class of 2018, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Kean University in 2022. When asked why he chose a career in law enforcement, he shared that during his time in college, he met several impressive individuals working in the field. Those encounters helped him realize that his true purpose is to help others and serve his community. When asked about his favorite part of the job so far, he praised the department, noting that every officer he has met has been supportive and eager to guide him, making his transition into the department a smooth and welcoming experience. Welcome to the team Officer Taylor! We look forward to seeing what a bright future is ahead of you at the LTPD and welcome you to the Lawrence community!
