Emergency Management

A Historic Night for the LTFD

On April 14, 2026, the Lawrence Township Fire Department reached an exciting milestone as career and volunteer firefighters trained together as one unified team. This comes just after the launch of a new 24-hour schedule for career staff on April 13.

The training, led by Deputy Chiefs Ray Nagy and Mike Oakley with hands-on instruction from Lieutenant Todd Lenarski, focused on safely operating Ladder Tower 20. It was well attended and highlighted the professionalism, teamwork, and dedication of all members.

This strong collaboration shows the power of a combined fire service. Together, the department remains committed to protecting and serving the Lawrence Township community.

One Team. One Mission. One Community.

Alcohol Awareness Month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month. This month, we’re raising awareness about alcohol misuse, its impact on health, and the importance of responsible drinking. Excessive alcohol use can lead to serious health risks, addiction, and harm to families and communities'.

If you or someone you know needs help, resources like SAMHSA (1-800-662-HELP) and Alcoholics Anonymous are available. Let’s promote healthy choices and support those in recovery.
