Bulk Waste Collection

Friday, September 25

Bulk waste will be picked up on the last Friday of each month. Bulk waste consists of items to be discarded which are too large to fit into your cart. Residents are permitted three bulky items. Each item shall not weigh more than 50-pounds. Please contact the Public Works Department to make an appointment.

New Township Arts Commission

Township Council recently created the Arts Commission. The Arts Commission has been tasked with advising Council on matters related to the Arts and Culture. Individuals interested in serving on the Commission are asked to complete an application.

2026 2nd half sewer amounts are available and payable on the website. Sewer bills will be mailed the week of September 14th and will be due in the Tax Collector’s office by close of business day on Monday, October 26 to avoid penalty.

Community Day

Lawrence Township Community Day is coming!

Calling all Lawrence businesses, nonprofits, community groups, crafters, makers, and vendors!

Join us for an afternoon of community, food, entertainment, activities, and fun. And remember… don’t just bring a table, bring something to the table! Offer a game, activity, giveaway, demonstration, craft, or anything that gets the community involved.

The Mercer County Office on Aging/Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) is asking Mercer County residents age 60 and older, along with caregivers and loved ones, to complete a short needs assessment to help improve services in our community.

Material Donations Needed

The Lawrence Township Senior Center’s “Create to Donate” program is always looking for donated fabric and other sewing supplies to help make comfort pillows for cancer patients.

Donations can be dropped off at the Senior Center - 30 E Darrah Lane.

Lawrence Township will hold a free drive-through rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats over 7 months old.

Pre-registration is required, and no walk-ins will be accepted. Each pet must be registered separately.

Mortgage Assistance

The Emergency Rescue Mortgage Assistance (ERMA) program provides financial assistance to eligible homeowners who have experienced a significant decrease in income or increase in expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To qualify for assistance, a homeowner must:

• Own and occupy an eligible one to four-unit primary residence.

• Have experienced a COVID-19 related financial hardship, and have been unable to remain current on mortgage payments.

• Meet household income limits.

• Have been current on mortgage and property taxes as of January 2020.
